In this activity, students will select a human social interaction scenario, service, or social system (some examples are listed below). Using a theory from the proposal students will write an analytical position paperLinks to an external site. (similar to an Academic Case StudyLinks to an external site.) that analyzes the way those concepts and theories could be used to understand the role of the human experience in their chosen human service/social system. Papers should have the following six sections: Introduction and context
Background (drawing from your own literature review)
Overview of the human interaction under consideration
Application of course theories and concepts to the considered human interaction
Main arguments

This is an analytical position paper written in first person, not an essay or scientific treatise.This is a formal analytical position paper. It should be written in first person. It needs to use proper formal grammar. This means no contractions (e.g.: I’ve; Could’ve; We’re), no typos, no emojis, no colloquialisms. Papers should be 2500 words plus or minus 10%. This minimum does not include block quotes; images; screen shots; headers and footers; title page; or bibliography.
