Research – Annotated Bibliography
Be sure to read these directions completely before you begin this assignment. Complete understanding of the assignment will prove to be crucial to your success. This assignment will span all four weeks of this course.
This portion of this project counts toward your homework/activity grade. This is aside of the 20% of the course grade applied to the final research project you turn in during week 4.
This week’s assignment has three parts:
Identify      and develop a research question
Literature      Review
Annotation
Identifying and developing a research question is the first step toward a successful research project. To develop a good research question, think of a topic from your text that you find really interesting. From there, begin to search for literature on the topic. As you read through the current literature, you should be able to identify questions that aren’t being answered in your review of the current literature. Using that information, you should be able to identify your initial research question. As you read more, you will be able to modify your question into one that asks a more specific question. A more narrow focus will make researching easier.

For your literature review, you are required to review ten (10) sources. Of these ten sources, 4 should be primary sources, 4 should be secondary sources, and 2 should be tertiary:
A primary      source must be from a peer reviewed academic journal or other      scholarly work. For best results, searching should be done using the      Keiser University Library resources or Google Scholar. Do not include      patents or case law in your search, these items are not acceptable for      your assignment.

Secondary      sources are usually taken from industry magazines or other      reviewed Internet publications. Blogs, forums, and Wikipedia articles will      not be accepted as sources, although some journals and industry      organizations allow those sources in their published research.
A tertiary      source would be a source that supports well known information,      or, facts that most may consider common knowledge.
As you review the literature, a best practice would be to keep notes. Use your notes to construct the annotations required for the first assignment.
The first section of your document should show your research question. The second section of your document should be an annotated bibliography of ten sources. Each of your ten sources should have two parts which should identify/support your research question.
APA      citation of your source
1-2      sentences describing what will be used to support your research question.
