Meagan Sullivan and Patrick Stuart
Meagan Sullivan is a thirty-year-old female who was born and raised in Rhode Island. She attended Clark University in Worcester, MA. During her time at Clark, she studied abroad at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. After graduation, she was hired by Teach-For-America and placed as a seventh grade English teacher in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Upon leaving Teach-for-America Meagan took a job in the non-profit, City Year Philadelphia as a Program Manager. Meagan is very politically active in a number of social issues. Patrick Stuart is a thirty-two year old male who was born and raised in Indianapolis, IA. He went to school at Swarthmore University in Pennsylvania. City Year Philadelphia hired him upon graduation and he made Philadelphia his home. After leaving City Year, he was hired by a charter school in Philadelphia as a High School Math teacher. Patrick is also a professional ultimate Frisbee player for the Philadelphia Spinners.Meagan and Patrick met in Philadelphia on Saint Patrick’s Day. They found out they had a lot in common. They both loved Top Chef and cooking. They also love to visit breweries and drink craft beer. They both had the same passion and commitment to social justice issues like human rights and poverty. Very importantly, Meagan has a dog Galileo who Patrick loved!After they had been dating a while, they decided to move to Nashville, TN for some career opportunities. They were both hired by the same Charter school, in Nashville. Meagan as Dean of Operations and Patrick as a High School Math teacher. They found an apartment in Germantown and called Nashville their home.Patrick took Meagan on a trip to Indianapolis to introduce her to the Midwest and show her is hometown. It was there at the Botanical Garden of Indianapolis that Patrick proposed to her. Meagan immediately accepted. Patrick’s family is now located in Minnesota where his father is a Professor of Geography. His mother is also a teacher in the area. Most of his family is from the Chicago area and the Midwest. His sister is a big part of his life; she will stand up for him. Meagan and Patrick have $40,000 to plan their wedding. They are expecting 150 people to attend and most of the guests will be from out of town. They will have twelve people in their wedding party including a flower girl and a “Best Woman” for Patrick and male attendant in Meagan is Wedding party.They would like to get married in April of 2024 during their school break. They would like to get married by a Justice of the Peace because they are not particularly religious.
