ESSAY #1: THE SOCIOLOGY OF EVERYDAY LIFE
Symbolic interaction, phenomenology, and ethnomethodology all seek to explain how people construct social reality in their everyday lives. Using either Goffman’s symbolic interactionist perspective or Berger and Luckmann’s phenomenological perspective, write a sociological analysis of your experience as a student at UMass-Lowell.
Your paper should be five pages long and should make explicit use of the details of the relevant theory as presented in class and in the readings (make specific references where appropriate).
Please recall the policy on plagiarism as presented in the course syllabus.
All papers will be kept in strictest confidence.
