I saw this male patient who is 70 year old who is diagnosed with lung cancer and metastasis in the brain. The psychiatrist told me that she should go to talk with him because last week he was delirium. so we went to see him and his daughter was there as well. So the doctor introduced herself to him and I introduced myself to him and then the patient grabbed my hand and started kissing my hand and crying and asked me to help him to get out of the hospital and then he started crying again and his daughter started crying as well. It was very very sad moment and I did not know what I should do at that moment so I started telling him that we are here to help him and I wanted him to be calm and feel safe and I told him that I am a medical student and I am not the doctor but the doctor will definitely help him. Then he said no I want you to help me you look like a nice doctor and you are the only one who can help me here).
