Van Wormer and Bartollas (2022) put forth five separate theories or viewpoints as to the cause of domestic violence in this week’s reading: Structural stress, psychological viewpoints, cultural/patriarchal theory, systems theory, and feminist explanations.
For this post briefly compare and contrast each theory or viewpoint and justify which you believe holds the most merit. Keep in mind that a theory is often a rationale that seeks to explain the majority of events, but is usually not a general rule.
