should identify and be identified as informal leaders, and understand the critical
importance of their individual leadership role in improving patient care and encouraging
healthcare development. For new graduate nurses to move from students to succeed in
professional nursing practice, they must effectively manage many challenges, which
require them to develop leadership and management skills.
