1. Write an analytical essay responding to the following prompt:
o We’ve read essays by Poe, Stevenson, Silko, Flower and Hayes, and LeFevre in which these authors describe their very different views on writing. Now, you have conducted some research on the creative process of an individual writer, artist or other creative person. In this essay, you will analyze the creative person’s process using the essays we read.
o Your essay should:
 Use Times New Roman, 12 point font, double spaced, with 1 inch margins.
 Be at least 5 pages long in this format.
 Make a clear argument for your point of view about what this person’s creative process has to teach us about invention.
 Use at least two of the sources we’ve read this semester (Poe, Stevenson, Silko, LeFevre, and even the sources on channeled writing you found).
 Use at least one of the sources you found about the creative person you chose to study.
 Imagine that your reader is not familiar with any of these authors. Give brief introductions to each author and short summaries of each author’s argument as it relates to your thesis.
Thesis:
Like many other artists or creative people, Lady Gaga′s creative process is a collaboration of deeply personal experiences and social influences. I have attached my current research, which has already been seen by my professor and I have also included sources that I had intended to use.
