Given the dynamic situation that is the current Israel/Hamas war and how it impacts our studies in this class, you have the option of writing a short paper discussing the ongoing conflict. The paper must address: The combatants. Who are they, and what are their goals? Classification of HAMAS – what type of terrorist group are they, including historical references as well as examples from the current conflict. Outline of the current war – what has happened and when. International response to the conflict The paper will be graded on a typical 100-point / 100% scale. This paper will be worth up to six (6) percentage points on your final grade. I will multiply the final EC paper grade times 6 and apply that to your final semester grade. If you receive a 100% on the EC paper, you will receive 6 points. If you score a 50% on the EC paper, you will receive 3 points on your final grade. Submissions: You must email me the paper NLT than Thursday, 14 December, at noon. Paper received after that date/time will NOT be graded. There will NOT be a Canvas submission for this assignment. Requirements: APA format, including a title page, inline citations, and a works cited section. An abstract is not required.
