I meshed work from students in the class into this essay.
When you write your own essay, make sure to compare it to this “A” essay example.
The “A” essay example follows all of the instructions, so if you see that your essay addresses something very different, you must look to the “A” example as the successful paper.
This “A” example does not contain the introduction or conclusion.
It does contain the entire rest of the essay, and the MLA, font, Works Cited, and structure of the support paragraphs are corrrect.
Note: The body paragraphs are longer than the instructions require. Do not write more than the instructions unless you feel comfortable doing so. Only look to the “A” example to see how the essay must be organized, focused, and use quotes and paraphrase as evidence. Please download the Research Paper handout and the A example

Please make use of your word program’s grammar and spell check tools.
AI: You may use AI as instructed in the Final Essay handout.
You may use the 2 paragraphs of the group you selected for the last discussion, and since this is a team-oriented class, you may use any information posted in this discussion.
You may also review the Perusall assignment for “My Name Is Margaret” if needed.
The final paper is graded A – F
I grade these essays with a rubric only. If you want a detailed review, please make an appointment to speak with me in spring 2024, and I’ll be happy to do so.
AI Warning: Please do not use AI to generate the essay or even parts of it. Use AI for error correction and even for brainstorming, but do not copy and paste any AI created content. AI is prone to what is known as AI hallucinations where the generated content is made up and not even a part of the text. These indicate the writer has neither read nor understood the material, and the grade will match this. Please do not use AI in this capacity. While AI is very useful, let’s make sure we can first create original analytical work, so we can then use AI as a calculator-like tool as opposed to a non-human content creator.
