Purpose
The purpose of the Week 6 Individual Assignment is to become familiar with MS Project and to use this software to develop an initial project outline for your group project using the WBS developed in your group assignment. Note that the Week 5 Overview has links to videos that are useful for this assignment.
Background
The project’s WBS, at the work package level, becomes the basis for identifying and defining the project activities needed to complete the work of the project, whether you have broken down the work of the project by phase or deliverable. These activities are then used in the process of estimating duration and resources, and ultimately the cost of the activities. The project outline is further elaborated as new information is considered in the project planning.
Assignment Prompt
Using MS Project and the information resulting from the WBS of the group project, create a new project file and enter the WBS information (WBS code and title of project phase, deliverable, work package) through the work package level. See the example below.
Assignment Instructions
Create a new project in MS Project.
Use the WBS information from the group project.
Enter the WBS information in the Task Sheet of the new project.
Save the MS Project file as yourlastname_Group#.mpp
Submit your individual assignment no later than 11:59 p.m. eastern time on Tuesday of Week 6.

The WBS information entered into the Task Sheet of the MS Project file was properly formatted to indicate the association to each level of project work (i.e., new summary tasks with correct indention of supporting project work activities).

Most of the WBS information for the group project was entered correctly into the Task Sheet. The information entered included the WBS code, title of project phase or deliverable and associated work packages.
Most of the WBS information entered into the Task Sheet of the MS Project file was properly formatted to indicate the association to each level of project work (i.e., new summary tasks with correct indention of supporting project work activities).
The student either did not use MS Project to create the project outline or did not use the group project WBS information to enter the information in the Task Sheet
