For this project, you will develop an interactive lesson plan that is aimed towa

For this project, you will develop an interactive lesson plan that is aimed toward educating athletes about a particular topic covered this semester. You can assume the role of a coach, strength coach, trainer, or another individual who would work closely with athletes in developing their performance.
Topics available to choose from (note that you can choose a specific aspect of one of the general topics if you’d like):
Physical Training, Recovery Methods, Sleep, Mental Well-being, Sport Psychology, Sports Nutrition, Hydration, Performance Enhancing Drugs, Environment, Injury Prevention
Once you select your topic, you will submit a minimum 2-page but no more than 3-page, single spaced outline that describes your lesson plan. Again, this should be in outline format – not essay format.
Part I: Lesson Overview – 20 points
Describe the topic for your lesson
List the sport and level (e.g., youth, high school, college, pro) that you will be designing your lesson plan for. If it makes sense to aim the lesson at a specific position (e.g., pitcher, linebacker, pole vaulters) you can list that, otherwise you can keep it general for the sport.
List the time allotted for the lesson
List any equipment or items you will need for the lesson or demonstration (this might include props, a projector, equipment, food for a cooking demo, etc.)
A rationale for your lesson that describes why it’s appropriate for the athletes you’re designing it for
List at least 3 objectives for the lesson – what is it that athletes will know, understand, or be able to do at the end of the lesson?
Part II: Key Ideas and Activities – 15 points
What key concepts/vocabulary are necessary to cover related to this topic? List them here along with a sentence or two describing each.
What types of activities will you engage the athletes in during your lesson? In addition to describing each of the chosen activities, choose why they are best suited for the particular topic and audience. Some examples might include:Group discussions
Games
PowerPoint presentation
Video
Demonstrations (e.g., cooking, exercise, mobility techniques)
A brief step-by-step/timeline of your lesson activities (what will occur first, second, third, etc.)
Part III: Lesson Assessment – 10 points
Reflection – Write at least 3 reflection questions that you will incorporate during or at the end of the lesson to assess the athlete’s comprehension of the topic.
Key Resources – What are 3 reliable/trusted resources you could provide related to your topic where others (athletes, coaches, future presenters of this lesson) can learn more about the topic?
Reference List – 5 points
Cite any sources used in the creation of this assignment using APA format
