Different areas of the country struggle with different types of substance abuse. Research in your community one type of substance that is currently most prevalently being abused. List and discuss the “red flags” that can be assessed during a clinic visit or if the patient were to show up in triage in the hospital for an assessment, whether pregnant, or not pregnant.
