In the material found earlier in this module we discussed the Israelites and the book of Judges and cycle the Israelites go through repeatedly throughout the book of Judges. Although, the Israelites in general go through stages of sin and repentance, the Judges are not without their own flaws. The life of Samson posses an interesting question was Samson really a good Judge/Leader for the people of Israel? Or was Samson using his gifts primarily to serve his own purposes, and not considering the people? With the exception of his last act, was Samson truly a good Judge and Leader? Or was Samson more or less of an ego-manic? Samson’s story can be found in Judges 13-16, other sources listed below:
