Process Maps: Choose a process that you are interested in, at work or in your personal life. Create a process map using swim lanes and decision diamonds if necessary. Examples are provided below. Estimate the time it takes to perform each activity in the process and the loss time between activities. Calculate the cycle efficiency for the process. Cycle efficiency for the process = CE = (%VAT) = (Total of all activity times) / (Total of all activity times + Total of all in between activity times; %VAT = [(Total VAT) / (Total VAT + Total NVAT)] x 100. You may conduct this assignment with another student if you would like. Both will get the same grade.
