Journal Entry Introduction
After reading Chapter 11, I found that job satisfaction was the main topic that interested me the most. With this item, we are digging into the function of employee motivation. During my management tenure at Kohl’s, I always thought about and asked employees if they were happy with their job. Before the pandemic started, I created a Dining with the Dudes program. At that time, the leadership team consisted of me, Justin, and Blake. Dining with the Dudes consisted of choosing employees randomly to eat lunch with leadership to discuss the store. How was the store operating from your point of view, what are we doing right or what are we doing wrong? It was a time when employees could speak their ideas to leadership. I feel this program empowered employees to have a voice and, in turn, be happy with their jobs. Have you ever sat back and thought about how satisfied you are with your job?

C. Discuss the results from the ABA and the survey. The following questions can be used on what you need to answer in the journal entry: What portions of the your current job are you happy or not happy? Does your company do very well in these with keeping you satisfied with your job? Are there any areas that you think the company can make to increase job satisfaction? In your discussion, please do not mention the company name.
