Project Guidelines
First, please read the following article on pay structuring decisions: Pay Structure Article.
Second, you will need to create pay structures for the following positions: chemical engineer, HR manager, and a used-car salesperson. If you look in the pay structure article under the frequently asked questions, you will find a FAQ section and these four questions listed will give you great insights to getting started on this project. Discuss which pay structure you will use: hourly, salary, commission, and bonuses. Also, please provide a pay range for each of these positions. Most important is that we align incentive plans with performance.
Project Grading
The project is worth 50 points. Please make sure to address each pay structure with the three positions. Each position will be worth 17 points each. Make sure to address the pay structure for the position, the pay range, why you chose that structure, and any other information you would like to provide. I have attached the general paper writing rubric if needed. This project will address SLO 1, SLO 5, and CLO 1.
