The ad can be print, digital, or video. Be sure to provide a brief description of the ad. Consider the speaker of the piece, the audience, and the context, as well as the ethos, logos, and pathos. You can discuss whether or not the piece is persuasive, but that shouldn’t be the focus of your paper.  Paper should be 12pt font and double spaced.  A successful paper will do the following: • Concisely describe the selected advertisement. • Consider the speaker, audience, and context of the ad. • Show a good understanding of ethos, pathos, and logos. • Follow MLA formatting standards.  – FOR 10 POINTS EXTRA CREDIT: Instead of an ad, analyze the rhetoric of something else, such as a song, a speech, or anything else where persuasion might be happening. It isn’t required, but it’s recommended that you check in with me if you choose to do something other than an ad.
