In the early, desperate months of the pandemic, some medical centers published

In the early, desperate months of the pandemic, some medical centers published the results of studies that involved providing a potentially effective treatment to a series of patients. There was no randomization and no control group involved. Often different facilities obtained different results and subsequent randomized controlled trials failed to find the treatment to be effective.
Was it right to publish the results of such observational studies?
How was the general public affected by popular media coverage of these studies?
Did the coverage create confusion or mistrust?

The BACB requires both the supervisee and supervisor to develop and sign a writ

The BACB requires both the supervisee and supervisor to develop and sign a written contract before starting any fieldwork experience. This contract serves to protect both parties by outlining and clarifying roles, responsibilities, and expectations. You might receive a contract from your internship site or need to create one by modifying an existing template.
Review the suggested components for this contract as outlined in your textbook and the BACB website. Discuss which elements you believe are most critical to include and why they are important for establishing a successful supervisory relationship. Use a reference for this discussion, ensuring proper citation and referencing.

Imagine if a Phillips screwdriver was the only tool auto mechanics had availabl

Imagine if a Phillips screwdriver was the only tool auto mechanics had available to fix all the automotive problems they might encounter. What if doctors only had one treatment to use in response to all the ailments their clients present to them? In short, some cars would be fixed and some patients would recover; however, many cars would become huge lawn ornaments and many patients would continue to suffer. The same is true for stress management. Without a variety of strategies to resolve all the different types of stressors individuals face, many would continue to suffer and possibly develop serious yet preventable illnesses. Since one stress management strategy does not fit all stressors or people experiencing stress, there are many approaches and strategies that can be incorporated into stress management training. It is wise to teach different methods, thus providing a sense of control and options for choice and type of situation.
For this assignment, review this week’s Learning Resources. Then search the Internet to educate yourself on the concepts behind developing a professional Microsoft PowerPoint presentation. Also, refer to the Walden Writing Center with regard to APA formatting for PowerPoint presentations (http://writingcenter.waldenu.edu/57.htmLinks to an external site.). Finally, review a variety of online stress management presentations to determine what types of activities you would like to include and the best way to present those activities to your chosen population.
The Assignment (16–25 slides)
Create a PowerPoint presentation of the stress management techniques you developed in Week 5 for the population you selected in Week 3. In 16–25 slides, your PowerPoint presentation should:

Describe the relationship between stress and health
Explain the influence stress might have on the health of your chosen population
Describe the stress management techniques you selected for your Week 5 stress management handouts
Explain how to apply the stress management techniques you are presenting
Explain how and why these techniques work for your chosen population and the common stressors they face
Describe tips on how to successfully incorporate these techniques into the lives of your chosen population

Submit your PowerPoint presentation for Instructor feedback.
Support your Final Project assignment with a specific list of references (and cover page) for all resources used in preparation of the PowerPoint presentation, including those in the Learning Resources for this course. This will be submitted in a separate document from the PowerPoint.

write a review of a media object of your choosing, analyzing how it presents an issue related to our course topic of sex and society. This media object might be a book, film, tv show, song, advertisement, social media account, news article, or any other public-facing cultural object that you feel warrants critical analysis and discussion.
Your review should be written in the form of a blog post that you imagine being published on a particular forum or website. Please specify this publication in your review by adding it to your header, whether real or imagined. In the review itself, you will be responsible for meeting a few criteria:
Introduce and contextualize your chosen media object: what is it and where does it come from? When was it made and how was it received? What can this object teach us about the relationship between sex and society?
Identify a specific excerpt, scene, or detail to ground your review and allow for more in-depth analysis of how the object mediates issues relating to sex and sexuality. What decisions are made at an aesthetic level, and how do such representational choices inform the social meanings that are being attributed to sex in the media object?
Present specific criteria for your review: What do you think makes for an effective/ineffective, responsible/irresponsible, enabling/harmful representation of sex and sexuality in society? And how does the media object that you’ve identified meet or not meet those criteria?
This assignment asks you to think critically about how issues of sex, gender, and sexuality are mediated in society. By engaging with a specific media object of your choosing, you will develop skills in close reading, critical analysis, and evaluative argumentation. My hopes are that you will apply critical concepts and theoretical frameworks that we have developed over the first half of the semester in order to analyze a feature of our congested media environments with authority, clarity, precision, and persuasiveness. Your reviews should aim to be approximately 750 words.
