Mike the Headless Chicken, also known as “Miracle Mike,” was a real chicken that lived in the 1940s. Mike became a sensation, touring with sideshows and attracting attention from scientists and curious onlookers. He lived for 18 months without a head before eventually choking to death in a motel in Arizona in March 1947.
