Mike the Headless Chicken, also known as “Miracle Mike,” was a real chicken that lived in the 1940s. The story goes that on September 10, 1945, a farmer named Lloyd Olsen beheaded Mike, intending to prepare him for dinner. However, much to Olsen’s surprise, Mike survived the beheading and continued to live for several weeks.
