This assignment is an opportunity to look inward and reflect on HOW YOUR BACKGRO

This assignment is an opportunity to look inward and reflect on HOW YOUR BACKGROUND AND VALUES may impact the decisions you make and the way you approach and prioritize different pillars of sustainability.
For example, my mother is Austrian and I spent much of my childhood there. The social system and HEAVY prioritization on environmental issues meant I too had a tendency to prioritize environmental issues over others when analyzing policies and projects. It was not until my time and work in Guatemala and Mexico where I saw the first hand the role tourism plays in social issues (from poverty alleviation to social disruption) that I began to rebalance my approach to ensure that I was addressing social issues as well. I recognize, that on some level, this will be a superficial activity, barely skimming the surface of the normative nature of sustainable development, but this exercise of reflection which must refer to and derive its main context from the paper titled “A systemic framework for sustainability assessment” is an opportunity to begin to recognize our personal perspectives and how they affect what we come to the table with. Let’s avoid a naval-gazing approach, and dig as deep as we can with limited experience in this exercise in order to become at the very least more aware of our individual perspectives!

Assessment Content
of learning outcomes 1, 2 and 3.
Based on the achievement of learning outcomes 1, 2 and 3.
This assessment requires you to conduct a piece of research based on a topic that you will select in week 2 related to a geographical site and how to promote their unique culinary products and culture via a blog that you will create. In this work you need to fully focus on the topic that was agreed upon with your tutor but more importantly apply the concepts we have seen throughout the module. This research will culminate into a personal blog to be presented to your tutor and classmates in week 9/10.This research will mean that you need to read widely on the topic and to collect a range of references that will also underpin your work. You are advised to start working immediately on this project. Your blog should basically follow the following format:
• Title
• About me
• Aims and Objectives – what is going to be elaborated in the blog?
• Your recommendations for local attractions or places of interest to visit
• The design and user friendliness of your blog will be part of this assessmentcomponent
(see assessment criteria for detailed information)
• Recommend three options for places to stay – affordable, mid-range and luxury. Make sure
there is clear information on how to get there and what type of transportation would you
recommend and what budget is required (room prices etc.).
• Where would locals send you to eat? – follow the same format as the recommended options
for places to stay (3 options) and make sure there is a link between them (affordable
accommodation – cheapest food options, prices, how to get there etc.).
• Your presentation, design and your user-friendly blog will be part of this assessment
component (see assessment criteria for detailed information).
Your blog will be made on wix.com and should contain the content listed above but it canbe extended in imaginative ways if desired. It should be clear and concise with correct use of English and Harvard style referencing as needed. You will be given a virtual space to display your blog and will be expected to present your design and to answer questions from both your tutor and other students. For submission, you will paste screenshots of each section of your blog into a document and submit it via Blackboard.
Blog Format:
The purpose of this assessment is to have a basic idea of how to create and present a blog that is relevant, user-friendly and pleasing to the eye.
It should have a menu bar with the following webpages:
• Homepage
• About you
• Local Attractions
• Places to Stay
• Places to Eat
You are encouraged to use creative titles for the above-mentioned pages.
Your blog presentation slides should include:
• An “about you” section
• a mood board and colour palette
• screenshots of each section (homepage, places to visit, places to stay, places to eat)
• Must try restaurants with respective dishes.
What needs to be done in the presentation:
• Present the user friendliness and design of the blog.

Overview
Customer loyalty should be a top priority for any organization. It is important to regularly remind team members of a company’s commitment to meet customer needs and expectations. One effective way to do this is by creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) which are often communicated through infographics. These infographics serve as a visual reminder to employees of the company’s dedication to customer satisfaction and help to ensure that customer retention remains a key focus. In this assignment, you use your operational planning skills to create an infographic detailing an SOP regarding customer retention.
Preparation
View the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Infographic Download Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Infographic to see an example of a simple infographic on taking a customer order. Similar to an earlier activity, you will be using MS Word, Visio, or another graphics program to create an infographic to paste into a Word document.
If you are using Word you can:
Open Microsoft Word.
Click on the Insert tab located on the top-left side.
Click on SmartArt and choose and modify a graphic of your choosing.
Instructions
Create 4 SOPs that are depicted on 4 separate infographics that emphasize the significance of understanding the values that customers have in their relationship with the food truck company, as well as ways to promote and maintain customer loyalty. They should reflect the six key principles for retention found in Chapter 10 of your textbook:
Pay attention.
Deal with one customer at a time.
Know your customers.
Give customers special treatment.
Service each customer adequately.
Do the unexpected.
Write a paragraph for each infographic that explains how the SOP might foster customer retention and loyalty.
This course requires the use of Strayer Writing Standards (SWS). The library is your home for SWS assistance, including citations and formatting. Please refer to the Library site for all support. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
The specific course learning outcomes associated with this assignment are:

Add your thoughts, and discuss things with your peers!
Notes for success:
You shouldn’t only use this for the assignment. Using Perusall means that you can chat with each other, highlight and discuss concepts together, and get and give help where you need it. Take advantage of your peers and the platform to have real discussions.
Make sure you annotate the whole paper. Perusall deducts points if all of your annotations are in just one section.
Your initial posts have to be completed before the deadline. No late posts count. Perusall allows you to respond to existing conversations for a week after the deadline, but these don’t count for full creditI
