This badge is part of the Health and Wellness CMS Core Competency. It also aligns with the NADSP Competency of Supporting Health and Wellness.
In writing your testimonial for the Medication Administration, you must address the following prompts:
1. Describe the steps you follow to ensure that medications are administered accurately.
2. Explain how your approach to medication supports informed choice.
Criteria
This badge is earned by submitting a testimonial describing an example of your direct support work that aligns with the badge requirements. This testimonial will be reviewed by NADSP and either approved or declined. If your testimonial is declined you will receive feedback and have the opportunity to re-submit.
The skill statement listed in the credit description must be illustrated through your testimonial. Both writing prompts listed in the credit description must be addressed in your testimonial as well.
The work submitted for an individual badge may not be previously submitted for another badge. The testimonial must reflect authentic real life experience that you have had on the job, fictional accounts will not be accepted. It must be work either you have done individually or as part of a group.
All identifying information must be removed, you are welcome to use either Person 1/Person 2 or assign fictitious names.
Any submissions containing individually identifying information will not be eligible to receive a badge.
You may upload your testimonial as an audio file, or a document in Microsoft Word or PDF format.
All submissions become property of NADSP, and may be used in future NADSP business operations.
