BRIEF SUMMARY THAT I DID THAT YOU WILL BE WRITING ABOUT:
It is finally Week 8 and we are almost done Today was very tiring. Actually, this week has been very tiring because my tire popped on the way to my clinical site and it was very stressful. I have went to Clinical Wednesday, Friday. I am exhausted. on Wednesday we did over 150 bags for Friday. These bags were the unhoused bags and they are very very heavy. Keep in mind the holidays are around the corner so we are giving a lot away. We are giving away goodies, toys, cereal, hot cocoa, everything. The bags each way around 30 pounds and that is very heavy for each person to be carrying one bag. Friday came along and it was distribution day. I gave out sweet potatoes, and I also gave out frozen strawberries. I have realized over this Clinical that people are very greedy. They are also very very needy. Personally for me if I needed the food and I needed the items I wouldn’t be asking for three extra more I would be happy with the two that I’m getting. I don’t know it just seems kind of odd to me. People have no filter. When I was giving out the fresh strawberries, the app overall population is more Hispanic so I feel like my Spanish has been getting worked on because they don’t understand English very well.there are random dirty dogs running around and I just feel very unsafe because the homeless people look at us very strange, especially if you’re female they look at you very strange. I feel very uncomfortable, and I’ve never felt so overworked and unsafe. When we got to the clinical site, it was a farmers market day for the holidays. We set up outside and inside. Outside was where the food was and the groceries inside were mainly the household items such as tide toys for kids, etc. I was a olive oil duty. That was kind of challenging because there was a bunch of people who wanted multiple olive oil‘s, but the quantity is one. This is because all of it was very expensive and they should be very thankful that they’re even getting one for free for that many people. overall I am very tired. I have never been this drained before. At the olive oil station next to me was honey and fish oil. I would give people one fish oil, one olive oil and one honey and they would be like can I have more honey and more olive oil and I would say no the quantity is one and they would ask and ask and ask until they would hear yes from me, but I wasn’t allowed to say yes. Overall, it feels very good to help the people in need who are grateful for what we are doing.
You can also include that it is very hard to communicate with people because they speak spanish and I don’t know spanish nor am I obligated to speak spanish.
