Follow the instructions below.
These response papers should be written in Times New Roman 12 size font. The assignment
must be single spaced and be no less than 1 page with 1-inch margins. One full page does not
include papers that have excessive spacing, double spaced name and class information, or any
sort of manipulation of spacing. When you do the assignment correctly, it is more than likely
your paper will be closer to 1.5 pages.
Each response paper should engage with all readings and include analysis. By analysis, I expect
you to make connections between the readings and point out broader themes. You may also bring
into your analysis current events that speak to themes in the readings and weekly topic. If you are
confused about what is considered an analysis, do ask questions.
At the end of the response paper, 4 discussion questions should be included. These questions can
be ones that you think would stimulate class discussion and/or a question you have pertaining to
the reading or topic. These papers are graded as 0, 1, or 2 points.
