For this assignment, I choose research an photographer or artist her name is “SUSAN HILLER” working in photography. The goal of this assignment is an that artist will help inspire your future work as an artist, as well as to become exposed to a variety of artists from your peers that you may not have known about.
Your presentation will happen in class, in person and should include the following:
The name of the artist or photographer you have researched
Brief Bio/Background information such as:
Where are they from
Years of practice (Ex. Francesca Woodman made most of her work between 1970-1980)
Education (if any) or artist experience
What types of mediums have they worked with (photo, video, collage, mixed media, etc.)
Description of artist practice:
is there a specific technique or practice that they use or are known for (Ex. Francesca Woodman mostly made self-portraits)
any common themes or ideas that they explore through their work (identity, family, activism, social class, etc.)
12 to 15 examples of the artist’s work (no more than 4 examples per series)

Dates the work was produced
Brief summary/description of what the work was about
Summarize your own personal research and thoughts about what you liked or didn’t like about their work
One thoughtful question about the artist work for class discussion (This question should be typed and appear in the presentation slides).
