I am not looking for a template, I want students to have an opportunity to be in

I am not looking for a template, I want students to have an opportunity to be insightful, reflect on some topics they deem relevant, and be able to be subjective without fearing “will this get me a good grade?”. This is a different course – all other courses have specific learning objectives (and many students tend to go into “let me check the boxes” mode); this course is much more about discovery: go to as much sessions as you want; some you will like, others not; at the end, reflect on those that had the most appeal to you, and connect them to your reality. With that, no essay will be similar to another; there is no recipe, there is freedom to build whatever you see as relevant for you and your career. As long as it is related to one of the topics, involves research (with citations) and is within the page limits, you will get a good grade. And if I don’t think it’s good enough, I will give you a chance to improve it before a final grade is published.
Enjoy the journey!
