I will need assistance with Chapters 1 Introduction of the Study and Chapter 3 Research Methods of this Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) Quantitative dissertation. I will be using data from Texas Education Agency PEIMS Discipline Report from Texas, USA. I will compare if the use of PBIS in school districts has an effect on the number of District Discipline Record Count. I will compare data between school districts that do and do not implement PBIS.
I have attached the Quantitative Dissertation Outline which needs to be followed.
I have also attached the previous dissertation which was Qualitative. I attached it because chapter 2 Literature Review can remain the same.
Since I’m ordering 10 pages, 5 can be for chapter 1 and the other 5 for chapter 3
The target for the entire dissertation is to reference 50-75 peer reviewed studies that are no more tan (5) years old.
Please make sure to update the references.
The following are the recommendations that need to be followed along with the Quantitative Outline attached.
Here is a better approach to a reliable state level study which will be publishable.
1. Obtain a list of all school districts in Texas (including or excluding charter schools). (Called the sampling frame. The list is best obtained from the state but is readily available elsewhere. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_high_schools_in_Texas
2. Randomly select 100 school districts from the list of all.
3. Figure out if they PBIS was implemented, say by 2015 (to give 3 years of implementation). So yes (1) or no (0). You could call, look on website, email the right person.
4. Repeat this process until you have 50 in each group. Of course, your 0s will be first to fill.
5. The minimal sample size to reach a minimal power of .70 without regard to effect size is 50 in each group. See https://www.statology.org/minimum-sample-size-for-t-test/#:~:text=No.,the%20results%20could%20be%20unreliable.
6. Retrieve discipline data for those 100 schools–grand mean of 2015-2018, 3 years of data.
7. Calculate if there is a difference.
8. Write-up results
