To describe means “to picture with words.” In this assignment your desсrіptive essay will be focused around a dominant or central impression. This central impression will become the attitude of your thesis statement. The thesis statement will not be a factual observation of what your senses “see”; it will be your interpretation of what those senses see. Thus, this essay must be written in 1st person in order to accurately convey your unique experience of your specific subject.
Prompt
Write a subjective desсrіption essay that makes your sensory experiences come alive and creates vivid images in the minds of readers. Whether you choose your subject from the Suggested Subjects list below or choose your own, you will need to carefully narrow and limit your subject in order to have a clear purpose (and thesis) that is obvious to the reader. Do not simply describe your subject; have a reason (purpose) for describing your subject that is reflected in your introduction (via an introductory technique/s) and developed throughout the body via specific details and sensory impression.
