You will do this by completing the following tasks: Define your research topic. o What exactly is it that you want to learn about? o Use this phrase/term/question to locate scholarly resources. • Develop a research plan: o How will you find the information you are looking for? o Remember to use the Post University library in your plan, as it contains excellent scholarly resources. • Put your research plan to action: Using your research phrase/term/question, conduct your research and locate your scholarly sources. • Evaluate the information you have gathered: Once you have found at least 3 resources that are a good fit for your topic: o Evaluate each source. – Is it a credible source? – What makes it a credible source? – Is it current, or are you only coming across outdated resources relating to your topic? – Explain how the information in each resource applies to your topic and will help you to write your final paper. • Last, reflect on your research results. This is an opportunity to start brainstorming for the final paper. – Are the current policies effective in addressing your topic? – Is there limited information or research? – Do you feel the policies are sufficient?
