Video surveillance systems play a pivotal role in maintaining security and safety in various environments. However, traditional surveillance methods often face challenges in effectively monitoring vast amounts of video data in real-time and extracting meaningful insights. The emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies has revolutionized the field by enabling intelligent monitoring capabilities. This review paper as a combination of artificial intelligence and machine learning explores the application of AI techniques in enhancing video surveillance systems, focusing on key areas such as object detection, tracking, activity recognition, anomaly detection, and integration with other sensor modalities.
