1) What change did Burger make to the original study? How did that change address the charge that Milgram’s study was unethical?
2) Consider the 3 theoretical explanations the author of your text puts forth to help understand the behavior of participants in Zimbardo’s and Milgram’s controversial experiments. Select one of the theories and write between one and two pages supporting your view on the theory you chose. Option 1: People are basically evil; Option 2: People are neutral and respond to situations; Option 3: People want to be a part of some noble cause (like science). Include in your essay how the theoretical perspective you chose applies to current or recent events in our history and also how that theory explains Zimbardo’s and Milgram’s work.
