You will complete a final paper in this course, the progress of which you will make throughout the entire course. For this paper, you must select a company that is currently facing a major decision regarding their business operations. For purposes of the paper, you will assume this company has decided to hire you as a consultant to guide it in making this decision or in solving this problem. The President and CEO of the company has requested that you draft a memorandum to him and other top management, which includes the CFO and the Vice President of Operations, discussing the following: The decision the company is faced with (Note: the Company you select must be faced with making some type of decision. Without a decision at hand, the topic will not be suitable for this paper) The ethical, legal, and global issues implicated by the decision/problem The law applicable to the issues A recommendation as to the proper course of action When working on this memorandum, please adhere to the following guidelines: The problem or decision the company is facing must implicate at least three of the main topics discussed in the course (i.e., ethical considerations from both a Christian and non-Christian point of view, politics, contract law, agency law, employment law, and corporate organization). One of those topics must include ethical/Biblical considerations. (Note: You can discuss either a Biblical reference/perspective on the issue or an ethical perspective based on the ethical principles and theories discussed in the course material. However, you are not required to discuss both ethics and a Biblical perspective, although you may chose to do so. If you chose to discuss both, it will still only count has 1 of the required 3 main topics that must be discussed) The memorandum must be at least five pages, single spaced, and cannot exceed seven pages in length. All recommendations must be supported by the law or ethical/biblical standards that are applicable.
