This assessment aligns with the competency for this module: Students will demonstrate essential coaching skills for use in various professional situations to develop coaching strategies for specific leadership challenges. Specifically, this assessment will encompass the following as a way in which knowledge mastery will be demonstrated:
Students will analyze their own coaching style to create an action plan for improvement.
You will show your understanding of the course materials and effective coaching strategies by applying these strategies in a paper that demonstrates your ability to assess leadership challenges, evaluate organizational needs, and recommend solutions through the use of coaching, leadership, and project management. These concepts will be evaluated and applied toward a higher educational context. In addition, you will create a presentation that analyzes your coaching style, provides insights into opportunities for further development, and presents an action plan for improvement.
For the first deliverable, you will take your draft paper on Applying Coaching Strategies to Leadership Challenges and make any modifications based on feedback from your instructor to demonstrate your understanding of how to analyze higher education leadership challenges, evaluate the importance of applying coaching in alignment with organizational leadership, and propose a project to help address this challenge. Then, for your second deliverable, you will take your presentation on your personal coaching style analysis and incorporate any edits from feedback that you received from your instructor. As you are completing both deliverables, make sure you apply an academic tone and APA 7th edition formatting.
