Identify one piece of media (short Youtube video (under 3 minutes), a meme, or TikTok) that
you believe demonstrates a psychological concept you learned about from Chapters 1-4 of
PSYC 4820. Using that concept and piece of media, type one discussion prompt that includes
three unique cue words from below, each from a different category. Include a topic, theme, theory,
or quote from the assigned material. Use 12-point Times New Roman or Calibri font, proper grammar,
logical sentence structure, and correct spelling. A perfect submission would earn 4 bonus points.
Discussion prompts that can be answered with one sentence or less will not earn any points. For
example, if your prompt can be fully answered with “yes,” then it will earn zero points. The
discussions and materials in this course are meant to educate, and thus, must reflect professionalism
and respect for ourselves and others. Therefore, media examples must be professional, without
profanity or biased language, appropriate for an academic audience, and void of sexual
content. The cue categories are as follows:
Knowledge: list, define, tell, describe, identify, show, label, collect, examine, tabulate, quote,
name, who, when, where
Comprehension: summarize, describe, interpret, contrast, predict, associate, distinguish,

“According to the TikTok video by @4URBeyHive, some beauty influencers are generated by AI. Using
Cialdini’s principles of persuasion, identify the three principles that you believe are the most important for
beauty influencers. Describe how AI influencers could alter social norms for beauty. Decide whether such
AI influencers should be allowed on social media platforms. How would that decision impact
advertisers?
