Instructions
Note: The “draft you recently submitted” was the Webpage Planning Matrix. You might be confused about what writing, from that assignment, you should plug into Wordtune. Put simply: plug in any chunk of writing, from that matrix, that you think you will end up transferring into your final draft.
Overview
Here, you will use Wordtune to revise the draft you recently submitted. You will paste the text of your draft into Wordtune, use Wordtune to revise that draft, then write a one-paragraph summary of your revisions.
Be sure to read everything in the “Instructions” section, below, before starting and submitting the assignment!
The Why
Why are we assigning a Wordtune Revision and Reflection? Writing AI doesn’t have to (and shouldn’t!) replace writing. In this assignment, we aim to help you harness writing AI to improve your writing. In many, many writing scenarios, you’ll need to make important decisions about your writing–but won’t have the time or resources to ask for help from others. That’s where Wordtune can help! Wordtune gives you immediate paths for your writing, similar to the feedback you receive from the grading team. And, importantly, it leaves the writerly decision-making up to you: it offers you revision choices!
Below, see an example of some of the revision work Wordtune can help you with. Notice the multiple suggestions that Wordtune provides for revising the last sentence, none of which is “right” or “wrong.” You as the writer have the freedom to choose which suggestion is the most effective to you, or not. Think of Wordtune as your revision pal; the one you call to ask, “What’s another way to say….?” (Be sure to check out the “Spices” feature for even more revision suggestions based on the specific purpose of your writing!)

Instructions
Original Draft: Paste your original draft into Wordtune. You recently submitted a draft of this project! We’ll call it the “original draft” here. Copy the text of that draft, then paste it into Wordtune.
Revised Draft: Use Wordtune’s AI Paraphrasing Tool and AI Writing Assistant to make five (5) or more revisions. Think through some of the suggestions Wordtune provides. Use them to help you clarify your ideas and make them more engaging for readers. Highlight any use of the Paraphrasing tool (Rewrite, Casual, Formal, Shorten, Expand) in yellow. Highlight any use of a Spice (Explain, Expand, Example, Definition, etc.) in green. Make sure you are citing your use of Spices. You can go over how to use Wordtune in the “Generative AI and Using Wordtune” page in Module 0.
Summary Paragraph: Write a one-paragraph (250+ word) summary of those revisions. Explain why you made your revision choices, how Wordtune did (or didn’t!) guide those choices, and what effect you hope your revisions achieve.
Submit the assignment. Paste your Original Draft, Revised Draft (with highlights), and Summary Paragraph into separate boxes as instructed (below).

Common Tips and Questions
What if my Original Draft isn’t just text? What if it’s in a more multimodal form (e.g., Powerpoint, website, or podcast)?
Just paste the text of the Original Draft. For example, if your Original Draft is in the form of a Powerpoint, paste the text from each slide into Wordtune (then into the question boxes below).
