Last week, you identified organizational learning needs in relation to ethics. This week, you will share the first (and perhaps most important) building block of your ethics training program, the program goals and objectives. Your task is to develop one to two program goals, five to seven learning objectives, and one to two operational objectives for your program. The Organizational Ethics textbook covers personal ethics, interpersonal ethics, leadership/followership/group ethics, and organizational ethics. You should have at least one learning objective related to each of these topics.
The expectation is you will follow the guidelines in the text to draft the goals and objectives. The text provides sample wording, action verbs, and other resources to help you develop effective goals and objectives.
Peer feedback: When you provide feedback to your classmates, you should do so by answering the following questions about their goals/objectives:
Is there a clear relationship between the objectives and the ideas, problems, and needs that have been identified?
Do the objectives reflect the prior knowledge, experiences, and abilities of potential participants?
Are the objectives practical and achievable?
Are the objectives attainable in the time frame proposed?
Do the objectives clearly communicate the proposed outcomes or accomplishments?
Are the objectives meaningful and will all interested parties understand them?
Are the objectives supposed to be measurable, and if so, are they?
Are the objectives congruent with each other?
