Review the learning activities for Module 3, focusing on Jurns article, (found under learning Activities: Article #3 Using SBAR to Communicate with Policy Makers) which presents ISBAR as a guide for developing testimony and chapter 13 of the Rector textbook.
Create a discussion post that includes the following:
Identify a selected health policy you want to influence at the local, state, or national level.
Write a brief ISBAR that can serve as a foundation for testimony related to your selected problem.
I-Identify yourself, give your credentials to speak to the issue.
S-Situation: Present the issue, the associated legislation by name and number, and your position on the issue.
B-Background: Provide information, history, and a personal story if appropriate.
A-Assessment: Offer your professional assessment.
R-Recommendation: Make a recommendation and ask for their support.
