In this weeks essay you will explore various systems concepts and how they might manifest within a supervision context through answering the following questions: Identify three systems concepts from the following list: wholeness, circular causality, recursion, feedback, homeostasis, morphogenesis, equifinality, isomorphism, 1st and 2nd order change, and pattern. For each of the three system concepts you have chosen please provide a definition of the concept and a supervision example. e.g. if you chose the concept wholeness, an example might describe how a trainee’s perspective on what was going on for a family changed when the trainee stopped focusing on each family member’s individual story and examined instead the family themes and patterns that emerged.
