Online businesses have exploded over the past decade. With the 2019/2020 pandemic, we have seen record profits of companies like Amazon groceries, Walmart Online sales and various other companies trying to compete for our changing purchasing needs. The pandemic has helped this evolution exponentially with the world afraid to venture into the big box stores. From eBusiness quickly retooling to curbside pickup, we should analyze this rapid transition that will change the future of the migration to online shopping. Just think of the IT resources necessary to change the Walmart business model to curbside pickup on a global scale overnight. Was this Web 3.0 in action? Is it sustainable, and will we ever want to go back into the store or has Business to Consumer (B2C) evolved into a retooling of our culture?
This business-driven globalization requires all the aspects of Web 3.0 including natural language processing, machine learning, reasoning, and artificial intelligence in each application.
In your original post, describe ebusiness and its associated advantages. Has the company/s where you have worked transitioned to an ebusiness model? If not, use another company like Tesla, Amazon, or other to review their current business model and discuss how they are changing their industries they are a part of (automobile, shopping, consumer services…).
