Write 2-4 total pages (excluding title and reference pages).
Follow APA current edition rules for grammar, spelling, word usage, and punctuation consistent with formal, scholarly writing.
Include in-text citations and matching references in APA current edition format.
Include the following sections (detailed criteria listed below and in the grading rubric):
Introduction: Include general statements on the role of the master’s prepared nurse as a leader and the identification of the purpose of the paper.
Personal Leadership Experience: Describe your personal experience serving in formal and/or informal leadership roles. How effective do you feel you are as a leader? How comfortable are you serving in leadership roles?
Leadership Style: Identify the leadership style that aligns best with your philosophy and preferences. Describe the style and provide a rationale for why you selected it. Which leadership style(s) are best suited for your future area of practice? Provide support from at least one scholarly source.

The source may be the AONL Nurse Leader Core Competencies.
Strategies: Discuss three evidence-based strategies to help you achieve the AONL competencies identified as opportunities for growth.
Conclusion: Provide a conclusion, including a summary of your leadership style, leadership competencies, and strategies.

Leaders and managers with strong self-leadership skills are crucial to helping organizations achieve their goals.
