Part 1: (worth 6 points)
Some speculate that the relatively low cost of fast foo

Part 1: (worth 6 points)
Some speculate that the relatively low cost of fast food may influence rates of obesity. Consider this argument in more depth by calculating the weekly cost of dinner for four at two different fast food restaurants (four dinners at one location and three dinners at the other). All of your costs and calculations need to be written out. Then, calculate the cost of home-cooked meals for the same seven days. Afterwards, discuss and compare in a paragraph considering your outcome.
Part 2: (worth 4 points)
Answer the following questions:
Why do many children enjoy fast food? How have your own fast food preferences changed (or not) over time?
How does the fast food industry appeal to children in its marketing (advertising, promotions, etc.)
Considering the many parents understand that fast food is of low nutritional value, why do you think many of them still allow children to eat it?
Do you think fast food and soft drinks should be permitted on school lunch menus or campuses? Why or why not?
Here is a sample of what the first part of your assignment should look like with the calculations of eating fast food vs. at home meals. Make sure to scroll all the way down.
(this is just a sample to help you better understand, please do not use any of this information)
These calculations would then be followed by a comparison (at least 1 full paragraph, 6-10 sentences) comparing and contrasting the two options (fast food/eating out versus eating home-cooked meals) with respect to cost and nutritional content, etc.
And lastly, you will answer the 4 questions posted in the assignment. Again, each answer should be a minimum of a paragraph and be written thoughtfully and in detail.
