The analysis will be in the form of an essay (600 words minimum) typed into the text box below that answers the following questions. All texts can be found on Canvas under FILES in file marked “Required Reading (Primary Sources)” Please cite from the text with page numbers [for instance (Jefferson, 77)].
1) Who is the person who produced the text? Not just their name, but their place in society, why were they important for instance? Or unremarkable? (This may take some online research, BUT DO NOT COPY AND PASTE).
2) What purpose does the document serve? What is it saying? Who is it saying it to?
3) What do you find interesting about the document? In other words, how does it make you feel? (As always, feel free to be critical, even negative in your response).
4) What does it tell you about history and the past?
