Write about the michael Jordan crying meme
In this paper, you’ll want to be sure to do the following:
● Introduce the text (or texts) you are analyzing
● Provide a sense of context by talking about who wrote this piece, where it was published, and how it has been shared
● Nod to the cultural context that might situate this text: what was going on in the world or in a more local community that impacted this text and how it was written or read
● Use key concepts from our class/Writing Moves as you look at specific elements of this text as you consider how it works
● Make points about your text as you consider what it is about, how it is written, how it has been shared, who it addresses, and what it contributes to larger, public conversations
● Consider what a close analysis of this text reveals about our contemporary writing and reading practices and the wider conversations that are carried out online.
The introduction should contain three things:
1. A hook or attention grabber that grabs the attention of the reader
2. Some general context regarding the topic
3. A thesis statement that is focused and clear and describes where the paper is going, and what it will be specifically discussed
The body paragraphs should do a few things too:
1. Begin with a topic sentence describing where the paragraph will go
2. Utilize evidence and analysis to support the point being made
3. Make only ONE point and develop it
4. It should not begin or end with a quotation
5. It should be between 7-12 sentences
The conclusion should do a few things too:
1. Restate the thesis
2. Wrap up the paper’s highlights
3. End with some insight of the topic
Think of it as an upside down version of the introduction—thesis at the top (in different words), the highlights next, and something attention getting like the intro’s hook at the end.
There should be a title that speaks to the subject and theme of this piece.
Make sure to check for good grammar, correct capitalization, interesting word choices—do not use conversational phrases like “a ton of memes” instead of a “large number of memes”
Your goal is to sound academic, not like you ae having a conversation with a friend or texting
Write in the third person which is nouns and pronouns
DO NOT use the second person “you” or “yours” and the first person “I, me, my”
Utilize time with group members for feedback
Your final paper should be between 750-1250 words long (3-4 pages)
In correct MLA Format
