You will develop a reading analysis as you read your independent reading text and this session’s course texts. (Analysis is a process or activity where you examine something closely and methodically, breaking it down to understand its structure, meaning, or function.) Note: Your “rationale” will be included in your final project). Your writing (not an essay) should address the following:
1) the name and author of the independent reading text in APA format;
2) one crucial idea, theme, or concept you have taken from the independent reading text
3) one question the independent reading text raises for you in the context of education
4) Lesson Rationale: Copy and paste or recreate the table below. Identify at least four examples/quotes from the novel/memoir with page numbers demonstrating the character’s social, emotional, and/or academic needs (you will use these examples to inform your lesson plan as you imagine the character is your student). Be sure to elaborate and demonstrate critical thinking fully.

*I have attached a screen shot of these exact directions with the table that is needed for this assignment.
– The final project asks to write a narrative based on this table, explaining the character’s needs in a story-like way. You DON’T need to do that part.
